brake lights stay on

any one else ever have this problem - after applying the brakes the brake lights remain on for about a minute afterwards - occurs even if the car is not running - I assume it is an electrical problem - just checking if any one else ever had to track this problem down before, thanks njw

hmmm I have a similar problem but what mine does is it goes on when I start driving... Then I turn the key a small amount and the light goes off... This also sometimes prevents my cd player from turning on. I don't know if this is any help to you but I figured I would throw that in....

When I bought my car my brake light was on, until I put in brake fluid.

no the ones in the back - the ones that go on when you brake so people know not to drive over the top of you
