Brake boost w/ Weber Carb

Since there is no vacuum port on a Weber 48 IDA carb (that I know of . . . ) do you lose all vacuum assist with the Weber? Anyone dealt with this? Any solutions or do you just live with stiff brakes?

you could drill and tap the manifold for a fitting like the stock one.

Thats pretty gay they don't supply a supplied vac port for that manifold. It should just have a plug for people who don't want it. Pretty much everyone wants that unless it was a engine that makes boost?

Don't drive around without a brake booster - If you stall out while driving it will be very very hard to stop!

Okay, since I haven't yet received the new manifold (it'll be here Monday) I will keep my fingers crossed that it's already taped for vacuum. I forgot to ask about that detail before ordering. But if I have to drill and tap it myself that shouldn't be a big deal.

The manifold I am getting is from Kyle in Hawaii off a recommendation from Rob @ Pineapple Racing here in Portland, OR. I think Kyle gets them from Australia. . .

My IDA manifold had a blank bung which I drilled and tapped to suit my brake booster fitting. Too easy.

They're meant for race cars... race cars don't have power brakes.
