Hey peoples,
I found a new wing, and picked it up for about $80 shipped.
Not a bad deal if it's actual a Mariah wing. Anyone know? The auction says its the original wing Mariah produced, and now they make a smaller one.
Anyhow, we'll skip the STOCK ONLY people's option of NO WING AT ALL!
What would look better? My current wing, or this new one, painted to match?

Im a bi fan of the wedge type aero wings. They look and seem much more funtional. I raced new mustangs, and the Saleens with the wedge type wing handled much better than those with the... rice boy... type wing.
Bodyshop never called on Wednesday, and on Friday as promised. I'm just lucky I have another car to drive around with.
Makes me wonder if they even started it. I'll have to check Monday morning to see how it's coming along. If they haven't started, I'm just callin the cops and getting my paperwork taken care of.

i like wings! i am a fan of the 3 peice factory wing and the 1 piece rubber wing on euro spec cars. that wing is pretty cool though! i would paint it to match and put it on! why not, you bought it. i like it better than the wing you have on there now. just my opinion though.

does any one have pics of the euro spec wing....hey.....you know that they used to force yankees to paint their cars blue with white stripes when racing in internatonl events, so the other european drivers could be extra cautious around them...it was generally accepted that while americans had the money to buy teams....they should never drive...just a little fun fact!
D'oh!
The seller emailed me the next day and told me not to send money. Apparently, during transport, the wing took flight out of a pickup truck bed, and smashed.
Damn, I was looking forward to getting it.
Oh well. Looks like I'll have to find an even BIGGER, better wing now....

Holy Batwings, Batman!
That wing is (was) big. I think it came off of one of the original IMSA cars that needed a huge wing for maximum downforce. That one is certainly larger than any one that I've seen other than a member here that used to have one on his black SA22.
As far as wings go, that one had some collector value. As an pilot with a tailwheel and aerobatic rating, I love wings - anything with an airfoil shape and the ability to move air makes me look twice. Would need to increase rear spring rate if you drive it over 100mph very often, though!
