bought my first 7
Hey all-
I just bought my first RX-7, it's an '82 FB with 177 on the clock and about 5k on a Bridge Port 12a. Black with black rims with chrome lips, RB header and duals, Holly carb from Racing Beat, MSD Coils, relocated oil filter, etc., etc.
It got backed into in a parking lot, so the first things on my list to do are: new fender, new bumper piston, new turn signal lens, new metal between hood and bumper, take off all the damn Racing Beat and Holly stickers, take the wing off (possibly put it back on when i get everything cleaned up under it), de-tint it, get the passenger window back in it's track, take out the carpet/headliner, re-mount the seats, weld a plate over the place where he said that there is a stock plug under the drivers seat.. Then i get to dive into the shitty *** electrical work that the guy that i bought it from did.
I need to (once i get money) track down driver and passenger inside door handles (this one doesn't have any, custom door panels).

forgot to add it has a fresh clutch with about 200 miles on it, braided stainless brake lines, new master cylinder, new master and slave cylinders for the clutch, new calipers, new pads/rotors/shoes/drums, he only ran Royal Purple or Castrol Syntec, OMP isn't hooked up so i'm using AMSOIL Synthetic 2 stroke

I live in Dexter, just west of Ann Arbor. I bought it from a guy in Ann Arbor who bought it from Tampa back in 2000. I payed 1,000 for it, and got a spare tranny, 3 spare tires, rear tocico's, and a box of parts and manuals (an actual, physical Haynes manual was included!)

awesome, what do you have? i'm surprised that you found a low mileage FB in ann arbor, i've only seen one in the area before i stumbled (literally) accross this one. mine needs alot of TLC, but it should be a fun project. right now i don't have any insurance and my tags are expired, but i should be getting insurance within the next week, and i'll have tags when i get that done.

what front bumper is that? is it stock GSL-SE? The first things on my list are cosmetic and electrical. The car's stock color is a dark grey metallic (found that out when i pulled the passenger door panel to fix the window), and once i get the cosmetic stuff fixed, i'm gonna pull the motor and have the entire car painted the stock color.

I don't know the brand of the air dam, it came with the car when I bought it. I think it is the same one in the victoria british catalog pg 34 #96-410 for $200. I haven't seen any others with the square foglight style.
