Talking Bought an 83 gsl auto today.

I bought an 83 gsl, auto today for 250 bux. Running, good glass. Glass and metal sunroof, LSD and rear disc's. Dash with no cracks.... The car kept over heating tho, think a belt was slipping.... Buuuuttttt it was over heating on the hi-way at 60 mph?!?!?! I can run my 82 down the hiway all day with no e fan turned on..... Doesn't quite make sense to me yet. I'll try and get to the bottom of this tomorrow.... Came with 2 studed tires too, with metal studs, should help out in the winter we get up here in Winterpeg.

$250.00 CDN funds. 160000 kms on motor also. One question. What RPM should an AUTO rev at when doing 100 kmh, or 60 mph?

For the overheating it's a no brainer to completely flush out the current coolant and also replace the thermostat...

The three speed autos aren't overdrive. So it's probably about the same as a five speed in 4th.
