so to start ill state my mods, i have a streetported motor weber side draft 48 ida, rb clutch, rb header custom 2 1/4 exhaust, holley blue fuel pump and reg, light weight flywheel. i think its the carb but idk, so ill take off fine rip through 1st and 2nd gear, then i hit 3rd gear and take it to bout 6000-6500 then i have then it goes dead and bogs out

 

First problem is the 48 IDA is not side draught carb, its a down draught. So, if you have a side draught carb then it's most likely a 48 DCO. Tell me your jetts and chokes and lets see if we can kill this gremlin.

 

lol yeah i slaped myself in the face when i realized what i said bout the ida haha, so to tell you the truth i couldnt tell you, i do beleave its the same jetting and every thing when it was bout new from racing beat, i think thats were i got it

 

If the engine seems like it's being fuel starved, which is where it often happens, at the top of 3rd gear, check the fuel filter. If the filter is good, post the jetting for Hyper.
