blowthrough with an IDA

blowthrough with an IDA

whos done it? ive always heard of it being done but ive never seen it. i know that its not really recommended because of their brass floats but i know the shack sells solid floats now.
i dont have my sidedraft anymore so im gonna have to work with what i have

Since you know about the shack and solid floats, it will take a high volume, low pressure pump, a Mallory or Malpassi carb/boost referenced regulator, a plenum box, big *** fuel jets....

that wud be wiked. Never heard of an blowthrough IDA but never done much research into it

yep there was even a kit made by HKS for a blowthrough IDA.

i believe thats the same kit seanrot had.. ran like a striped ape
the solid floats i now sell were made possible by copying his exact float after he parted the car out when he was re-stationed in japan...

the blowthrough IDA kits work great, the main problem was always the brass floats, but with the new solid floats your good to go

The old Japanese Sigma kit worked killer with IDA's. It had a decent plenum w/ blow-off flange built in.

Try to contact rotaryengineering on the forum (Albert). He may still have one of these kits laying around...

thanx man! yeah i remember those SIGMA kits
ive got a DCOE plenum for sale. i really have no use for it anymore
anyone interested? or trade for IDA plenum? =]

very interesting, i have am just going IDA and was considering the blow through set up on my DCOE, but like the idea of it on the IDA

i did see the idf too late now though just ordered a new 48 IDA would it cope with a street port? i may be going bridge port this year so i can always mill the 48 to 51 etc

with a 60mm t4 turbo 350wrhp @ 12 psi is easily achievable
