blinkers coming on when turning?

i just recieved a racing wheel from RRTEC today (great seller and even greater deal, btw) and put it on right away, so far it feels great and is i'd say the perfect size for the car.

when im making tight turns somehow my turn signals are coming on at the same time, the return mechanism thing that flips them off when you straighten out the wheel never worked for me so i thought maybe it was out of alignment and just removed it entirely (little circular doo-hickey on the shaft behind wheel with notches on it).

still with that removed they seem to prop on in tight turns. any idea's?

sounds like the wheel is getting too close to the signal doohickey, add a washer to space the wheel out a smidgen

OR

something on the back of the steering wheel is protruding into the signaller doohickey and slapping it on. I think option A is more likely, sounds like a friction interferance to me.

If you pull (or push) on the wheel, does it move? I've got this problem on a car because the collapsable piece has been busted. Swapped boxes to get rid of excessive play and now it's just got it in a different axis!

I haven't found the problem but my left indicator is doing this also, thinking the switch is bad.
