Bite me - I've got a rodent problem

I park my 7 on the dirt and don't drive it much (mostly weekend/autoxes/trackdays). Anyway, I guess I now have a tenant under the hood of my car and not only is it not paying rent, it is chewing on my magnecor and other wires. I've tried rat poison, but didn't seem to work. Anyone have experience with this and can tell me what I can do? Those magnecors are expensive and I don't want to replace them until I have this problem figured out...

Put a bag/box of mothballs under the hood.

Maybe open the hood and scare the thing out, than shoot it or hit it with something.

O.o Get a CO2 Fire extinguisher and freeze the little ****** out. Shouldn't damage much if anything in the engine bay. I know this from flash freezing experiments I did with air cleaner cans. But yeah, it works.

Take the wires off while parked. If that's all it's chewing on, remove the source of interest.

Use an ultrasonic rodent repeller. I used to have squirrels and mouses in my garage that would visit me while I was working on the car. While I enjoyed the company, I did not enjoy the droppings they left in the car and the chewing of everything stored in the garage. Once I installed the ultrasonic repeller the problem was gone within a day. But if you have good hearing, the sound will be very irritating to you as well.

Heh, thanks, I'll try the mothballs and the ultrasonic thing. The other suggestions doesn't help. It isn't always there, it just comes and goes like when it feels like it. I do drive the car, but that doesn't prevent it from coming back...
