alright you guys might think this is retarted, but i've been exercising the option of running major huge offset wheels on my fb. i've seen it done before, but im wondering what kind of fender rubbing issues i might run into...
i would think that a very wide 13" would be best, to keep wheel well space, and as well to keep the car low to the ground...(big difference from the 17" i've got sitting here waiting to be mounted).
anyways, with wheels spacers to change the bolt pattern from 4x110 to the honda 4x100, there would be a huge number or available wheels.
my idea is to go major offset, so the wheels are sticking out past the fenders a couple inches at least. WORD YO!...lol
now, im going to assume in order to do this, i'd have to run very stiff springs and shocks to avoid rubbing. does anyone have any experience doing anything like this? here's an idea of what look i'd probably go for. yeah i know these are 15's, but its just to give u guys an idea....http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...946466082&rd=1
p.s. this is just an idea that's been going through my mind since i saw a yellow 7 on this site (he stopped posting a couple years ago)...he had 13" wheels that were very wide with a huge offset and stuck out quite a bit...looked pretty sweet imo.

Before you do this, you should know that Ontario only allows 1 inch pass the fender. If I remember correctly.
This is usually a 4X4 truck issue so maybe you should check one of those forums...

hmmm...i didn't know that. although now that u mention it, a friend of mine had some huge swamper type tires on his truck and got hassled for it since they stuck out too far..

dude that would be awesome, some people are like " oh, that would look mexican". I have a set of 15" 295 wide tires/rims that I'm gonna throw on the back once I go to the track. As long as you got the power to actually use those tires then I'd say go for it without a doubt.
Here is a pic of old style revolution wheels on a lowered 7. 225-45-D13 Hoosier autocross tires. The rims are at least 7" wide. Looks more like skateboard wheels on the car.
aside from looks if you run high offset on a car that wasn't designed for it you run the risk of wearing out suspension parts early. it totally messes up the geometry and everything. Wheel bearings would prolly go early too because of the extra stress exerted on them.
