Take another look -- the calipers are trailing so the direction of rotation does pump air through the vanes. I switched sides of the car for the photos, so it's deceiving.

That's a good eye though. I honestly appreciate you and anybody else looking closely at posts. It helps us all avoid costly mistakes.
