Just find a guy that has shitty tires and run him. You will still need a few mods though. If he can't get traction they can still run a good 15 or lower. I did in my trans am but mine had an lt1. Just a little comparison for you.

Stock WS-6?

I would imagine that you probably need about 230 wheel hp to beat a stock WS-6. The WS-6 has, what, 325hp stock at the flywheel? And they weigh ~3500lbs? Stock they ran about 13.2-13.5 second 1/4 mile.

A stock FB weighs in anywhere from 2300-2600lbs, so, you have ~1000lbs on him right there...

*Edit* And to add on to what Josh said, I ran his old LT1 Trans Am in my mom's Legacy GT (automatic), and he didn't catch me until 120mph. I thought he was in reverse when I launched.

DirectFreak could beat one short shifting.

The problem, however, is finding a stock WS-6.....

The guy that ownes the shop where I have my 7 right now gave me a ride home in his WS-6. Stock and auto it hit pretty hard off a stop light and with the TSC on there was not much wheel spin. It has alway been my goal to beat one of those. But with just a bunch of bolt-ons on my otherwise stock 12A, I probably have a ways to go, and mean that in $$'s

One word... DREMAL

a few more... find a good used engine and test your hand at porting it. Get a good carb (intake) and exhaust set up and you should be able to hang with one for at least a 1/4 mile.

There is some guy around here with a stock Camaro (Base Model LT-1) who claims he has 500hp (Domestic Rice) I want to see if I can run him, I think I might have a chance. And I am pretty sure the WS-6 just denotes a handleing package.... I could be wrong...

It is a performance package to accentuate the LT-1 LS-1 engines.

The WS-6 is the sportier model, yes, and is easily identified with the ram air hood, also known as "having nostrils".

DirectFreak: Read your old post. You are just too evil. With great power come great responsibility. Which I guess means you'll be going after the AMG Benz's now, ay?

As an owner of both of the vehicles in question I'll tell you this. You've got your work cut out for you. If and when it ever happens it won't be because of a few tricks and bad back tires on the TA. Build a well thought out package with at least 270 HP.

No problem.

My last dyno, the car did 492 at 20/21 psi. The Turbo ran out of breath and that's the most PSI it could make at redline.

I got a new larger Turbo ready to go in though..

For my mods, you can click on my sig for old pics,
or click HERE for the old Dyno thread with Video.

How long can a 13B hold that much boost though? surely on the street you run less to maintain some streetablity.. 500hp + FB = massive traction loss
Even with wide tires an proper rubber, I mean the car is just so light. Again I might be wrong, but to me I dont see it working all that well.

Also I never read the kills section. So if you have any others (other that the S2000 and the 350Z ) I would like to know.... Actually I think I will just go seach....

My car weighs 2750 without me in it. It is heavy for a 1st gen, but there is little 1st gen left in her. The whole drivetrain has been upgraded significantly.
Not to mention a 6 point cage.

On the street, I run 15-18 PSI which gives me about 460 to the wheels.

Fat Drag radials make a HUGE difference. With my 4-link, coils overs, and Ford rear, the car hooks up rather well for rather smallish 225/R15 Rubber.

When I go to the widebody setup - I will then swap in my other engine (half bridge), completely new intake, and go for well over 600+ RWHP.

Kinda like this car here - only in a widebody 1st gen chassis.

Wow, I hope one day to be relatively close to your power level.... I think you are an inspiration to all of us power hungary maniacs.... Your car is very impressive, and I would love to cruise around with you one day... besides our cars are basically the same color

Yeah, DirectFreak, your car makes me want a turbo FB hardcore. My goal for now is 200 hp at the flywheel. 600 is an insane number.

You could get 200 at the flywheel with a nice port job and no turbo (verified by my shop tech).
