Best Way to Raise Car Cash??

WHat would be the best way for me to raise about $3000.00 to get my FB on the road? I'm talkin a crappy job that may have shity hours, or be hard, but pays well, a job I can just grit my teeth and suffer through until I have enough cash for all my mods. Any ideas?

Dont you work??? How do you expect to get anyware if you are just going to get a job to get your car done? Find a decent job(may not pay much to begin with) and work your way up!!! You will never have a good job if you "job jump", you will never get you car done!! Back in the late 80s when I was 18, I worked for $8 an hour, it took me 2yrs to get my car done the way I wanted it. I didnt go and blow my money on drugs or booze, my life was my car!!

Same goes for now that I am in my 30s(well, my life is my wife and soon to be baby boy!), the #s are just bigger. You make more, but you spend much much more!!!
It is taken my 2yrs now to get my car close to where I want it!! I have spent almost 10k on it and still have about 3k more to go.....should be done by the end of this year

Dont look for instant gratification!!

(gets down of his soap box)

Construction work, if you can find it. With no experience, I made $25 an hour back when I was 18.

Seriously, though, take 1st7heaven's advice and find a permanent job. I've been working on and off (mostly on) since I was 10 (paper route), and it's no coincidence that all through grade school, college, and afterwards when I had a real job, I always had more toys than the people I knew (aside from the ones with rich parents...)

I like ebay.

I have two jobs as is, so that is working out decent for me as is. For extra cash, I have been trying to clean out my house of useless junk that I have collected with my pack rat nature by selling it off on ebay. It's goin' kinda slowly, but surely. The living room is looking a slight bit more liike a living room and my paypal account is accepting almost as much money as I spend there (gotta watch that myself now too!)

I also take side "delivery jobs" from my first job. If someone wins an auction for a server rack, for instance....and they live in ohio or indianna (basically no more than 3 -4 hours away) I will deliver the item myself for the cost of shipping (about $100 for that distance!)

Right on, 1st7heaven with the msg not to blow money on drugs and booze! That's always a good tip, regardless to whether you are working on a car or any other project, for that matter!

You have two kidneys... You can run on one... Just don't try to out drink anyone...

The live regenerates itself over time, so you can sell parts of it... You can run on a partial liver for a while.

Lungs, meh, you may be able to ru... Nah.. wal... Nah.. Crawl on one...

********* sell for a couple thousand dollars on the black market... Or you can just donte sperm... I think some hospotals pay up to $200 per visit, maximum of three visits per month...

Or you can join your Electricians Union... I loved working as an electrician... Go into low voltage stuff like Computer networking, telephony, and Cable TV if youre skittish about messing with energized 480 Volt panels and ****...

Thanks for the info, I do have two jobs, was just wondering if anybody knew a quick way to get some cash. I have been at my main job for 3 years, so despite your lecture, 1st7heaven, of course I have a job, and I am working my way up, thanks for the fatherly advice though.

Hyper4mance2k - why would I need to sell my *** or crack, when I can sell yer mom's ***, and pay her in crack? Thanks for wasting space trying to be funny, dumbass.

Narcisse91 - I might actually look into construction, sounds like it might work for me. Thanks for the tip.

Don't spend money on gas for your current vehicle. For me, it is a Rx-7. And everyone knows they drink a lot of gas when driven, and more when you drive more. Also avoid Mcdonalds/fastfood visits and spending money on your girl friend or simply dump her for a while. Women are expensive, but fun, play toys! LOL But seriously they require a lot of maintance cash.

Don't buy unnessessry clothes, electronics, ackohol/tobbaco, entertainment related stuff activities.

There you have it. I blew so much money when I bought my '85 gsl-se about 2-3 weeks ago. I drove it everywhere and still do. I've decided to cut down on the driving and rev up the modding. I'm 16 and work in lawn care. It pays ok.

I'd tell you to pump gas if you all didn't have self serve stations.

Plasma donation can be done twice a week and the pay varies from 20-50$ a visit. Given you will have needle marks on your arm but its easy cash for getting jabbed with a needle and sitting in a chair for a bit.

Yeah, I'd suggest getting a side job delivering pizzas.

I worked for a Little Caesar's at 17, with my MGB roadster. I actually got EXTRA tips from some older guys, who knew what the car was......as well as people offering me free parts they had sitting in their garage, and even offers from people to sell old british cars cheaply.

Im sure delivering some pizzas in an Rx-7 will keep money flowing, as well as find you some Rx-7s and parts to play with in the future.

Oh yeah, and the getting rid of the girlfriend thing, that works too. God they are expensive. They should be regulated by the government, like new car minimum gas mileage requirements.

Pizza delivery is a good route... especially where I work. Panago (only in canada in a few provinces) pays an hourly rate, just above minimum wage, PLUS gas allowance of $0.55 per delivery (adds up if you take 15 deliveries in a 4 hour shift), and then you get tips on top of that. I make $8.50 an hour, plus the gas allowance, and at least $10 an hour in tips. I normally come home from a normal 6 hour shift with $75 - $100 in tips and gas allowance, and then my paychecks are like $400 biweekly.... so I basically make $900 every two weeks.... not bad for working 6 hours for 4 nights a week

I mean that in a good way... that's really funny...

Oooh yeah... on the subject... cut minor expenses... GAS can add up... so drive less... get some more schooling... so you'll get ahead... it takes time... but you'll be in a better position... I work for FED EX they pay alright... but I only work about 2 hours per day... and I'm a FULL TIME student and athlete by day + that 2 hours of hard labor is all going to my GSL-SE(upgrades and gas), AUTOZONE, EBAY and cellphone bill... I try to cut other expenses, but its so hard... I'm a spendaholic... and Mcdonald's is so hard to resist.... I can resist on girls(gold diggas) for right now... but the gold diggas are lining up... ****....

Pizza delivery can be fun and easy- if you have a cell phone you can chat to friends the entire time you are 'working'. And if not you can listen to music. COol job- I miss those days. But it can be hard on you ride if they don't provide you with transportation (do any of them provide cars anymore?).

Another route- depending on your age and disposition- is bounties. If you can get certified for a hand gun, and have a big friend who will help, bounties can be very lucrative with only a small amount of time invested. Amazing how many idiots skip their court dates but make little effort to hide.

two words: junk yards, you get free or cheap parts plus you gain valuable automotive knowledge and exprience. I am working for two junk yards, during the day a regular car junk yard and during the evening i work for a guy who strips wrecked semi-trucks and sells the cab for aluminum. you'd be suprised how much you can sell off a truck that has been rolled 8 times. good luck raising cash.

Oh yeah, learn html and make webpages for people you can charge $100 for making a simple webpage and you can charge for updates.

you might try collecting pop cans!

Doesn't the pizza smell soak into your 7?

Otherwise, I'd LOVE delivering pizza in a 7...
