Best way to get paint to adhear to bumper repair...
Hello,
Im still getting my car ready for paint, its getting really close to being ready. My question now is I have shaved off the headlight spray nozzles in the front bumper and have filled the holes with fibreglass bondo, I then used other bondo to get it to sit flush with the rest of the bumper... Anyways I tried painting it at this point, and no matter how I painted it the ring of bondo where the hole was still showed up, so my question is what kind of product should I use to get this bumper coating to stick and not have a chemical reaction with the bondo.
Thanks!

What paint are you using? Are you using a primer/sealer for the 1st coat, and are you adding flex? Is the rest of the bumper being properly prepared?
Fiberglass bondo may not be the best choice. There are fillers made specifically for urethane bumper covers, however, I'm not sure if they can be used for build-up and jointing. I've only used them for light fill.
And if you tell me you're using rattle can paint, you deserve all the bleed through you're getting for being a tightass.

.... The rattle can paint is specifically for "Bumper coating" I think its duplicolor, its actually really good stuff, to prep the rest of the bumper I just sanded it until it was black and smooth to the touch. Last year I coated just the top of my rear bumper and it stood up very well to the conditions. When I take my car in to get it painted should I just get the bodyshop guys to finish that part off for me?

I did what you did to fill my washer holes, then left it with the body shop. No rings, looks great.
When it comes to paint, swallow your pride, and let the professionals take care of it!

Anything in a rattle can paint always has a bad reaction when it comes time to paint a car for real... that ring could be from mixing the second coat of bondo too hot... or the fact you didn't prime it first...

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
The duplicolor, I'm assuming, it's a "plastic" paint. The bondo isn't plastic. You might as well just use regular paint on it, just do a good job of prep work on the bumper. The only problem I've had with PPG Urethane on my bumper was when my codriver punted a Spec Racer Ford in an enduro.
