best way to dye a dashboard (no spray dyes either)

im in process of converting my 85 gsl-se's poop interior to black, im taking all the parts from my 81 with black interior (carpet trim seatbelts, door panels headliner visors etc...) im going to have to remove the dash to put in the black floor board carpet and i want to get it professionally dyed while it it out, along with the armrest console... im wondering what is a good way to professionally PERMANANTLY dye the dash black to match the rest of the interior im also ditching the power windows in my se because they arent working and the door panels in my 81 are for manual crank so im just gonna swap the doors out...
if anyone has tips or advice or has done this before please let me know what you did to accomplish this..

thanks

Well, was about to say that the 84-85 doors don't like the 81-83 door panels and vice versa. Mounting points and holes are all in different spots.

As for dying the dash, I thought there was a thread on the subject - at least, I remember reading one where someone had just pulled their dash and coated it. It was either dye or it was SEM dye... can't recall which offhand.

The spray on stuff works pretty good if you clean everything well and use a good degreaser before spraying. I just got done(well moslty done) swapping my porno red intereior out for black. I couldn't find door panels so I sprayed them. I tried to scrap the black off the panels and it is on there good.
Also found out Miata seats look pretty nice in an rx7

You will love your car with the grey/black interior. I would just like to know why they made so many cars with red and brown interiors? Was that popular back in the day?

In the pictures the carpet is black, camera made it look a bit funky.

Look at this thread. It's not professional but results appear to be good.
