Best setup for ported 12A?

Getting my 12A half-bridged. I just wanna know what the best carb and intake to use is. And also if I need to change anything on the motor to compensate for the porting (i.e apex seals).

depends on what you are trying to gain, i myself preffer a holley 600 for a bridged 12a and a nice 3 inch exhaust, upgrade your coils and wires to MSD and get your MSD boxes also.Just my opinion i know many people here have different opinions, but those are mine.

Well, being an old carb guy I have a stron suggestion. Find and modify a Holley 650 "spreadbore". The large secondary ports will feel the bridgeport very well and the small primaries will help with bottom end and throttle response. If you go with a squarebore you'll need an open spacer under the carb.
