?Best rim for slicks?
I was at a speed shop today and saw a nice mickey thompson slick for a 15" rim, then talked to the guy about a 13" slick. He said the 13" slick needed atleast a 7" wide rim or 8" which ever width I wanted to run. I dont know much about what rims will fit a 1st gen. I just wanted to have some input on interchangeable rims. Which would work best? I would like to find an 8" wide 13" stock rim off of a common car. I also think I could find a 15" 4 lug to fit. Not sure which way to go on this one?

The problem with the 1st Gen RX-7 is the uncommon bolt pattern. The 4x110mm pattern is unique to Mazda vehicles and is not used by any other marque.
However... the 4x108mm pattern has been used by Mustangs and Porshe on the 924. If you snug the lugs properly, the 1/2 mm per lug shouldn't be too much of a hassle. I'm going to test this theory out this weekend, as my friend has a non-running 924 in his backyard.
