Best Exhuast system?
Alright I see some conflicts on which systems are the best for our cars I'd like to know whos using what and what works best but most of all I want to know what is the best bang for the buck HP/$?
I looked at RB nice looking and many people seem to swear by it but damn its expensive. $700+ for an exhaust system that most likely wont pass emitions. Where im at it PA i do not have to pass the sniffer test the car just has to look like it has all the smog control stuff on it and not kill the inspector with fumes.

Def wont pass smog test, and wont look like it either. But, after being around the inspectoin business for a few years, i honestly don't see many mechanics looking under the cars to see if it will pass. They dont have the time lol.
It's up to you though. You could always take your cat and cut the casing off and weld it around the piping to make it look like it has a cat. i might do that if ohio ever has inspections

I'd do a custom setup, you get what you want, for a lot less. I have a complete 2.5" Exhaust from the header back. Right after the header, it goes into a high-flow turbo II muffler (pep-boys special), then out a straight-through muffler on the back. It's loud, but sounds great. If you have emmissions, most people think the muffler in the middle of the car is a cat anyways.

Custom all the way here. Only thing I don't have is a header. Should see the same gains as a racing beat exhaust too, with a MUCH nicer exhaust sound. The RB exhaust is just too quiet for my liking. I figure I will get the build-it-yourself road race header to keep things cheap if I don't do my turbo setup.

I love my custom exhaust. N1style duel muffler coming out the right side. And I love the sound. Sounds like a car at the track and I haven't been pulled for it yet Knock on wood. I'll post some pics once I find that damn camera.
