I've heard that Dellorto's are good for blow-through. The previous owner of my 1980 RX-7 had a JDM 12AT with Racing Beat intake and a Dellorto DHLA 45 in it, worked very good.

Does the dell's need to be modded just like the webers and Holley or is it a bolt on affair other than the jetting?

This is an old thread. But anyway, any carb has to be modded to work under boost pressures. The floats just crush, as mentioned, when the carb is pressurized. And don't think that because the floats in some carbs are brass that they won't crush. I would think that they are a little more durable, but still not up to the task.
