Bee*r rev limiter install?

I got a buddy who is practically gonna give me one if I want, but I haven't found anything on anyone putting one in one of our first gens, and from what I've seen for seconds, it usually doesn't turn out very well. Anybody know anything about it? Maybe sn alternative? I'd like to have one just as a parachute. I've mis shifted and red lined too many cars in the past.

12a or 13b? Don't know about putting it on a carbed motor but I've had mine working on an s4 and s5 motor never had a problem.
