beat a honda civic, enough said
my car honestly is pretty much stock, minus my a/m exhaust, k&n filter, ngk plugs, and i took out the spring to open the secondaries, but i flat out beat a civic who i tried to pass and he hit his brakes so i couldn't. there was another car coming in the other lane. we got to the stoplight, and i looked at him and revved it, and green hit and i was gone. he was pissed, and i loved the whole thing. i would post this in the "kills" section or whatever but the FC and FD guys have big egos and post there all the time. anyone else have any stories of honda or any other car "kills"?

Not every kid does drive there "parents civic". Before my rx7 I had a civic I worked on myself with performance parts. NOt all this gay faggit *** discount "APC aka american product crap". Ok and street racing is for losers, what are you doing trying to make our crowd look bad now? What's wrong with you kid. Keep it to the track.

I dont see anyhting wrong with street racing. As long as it is done as safely as possible. Dont go to insane speeds, dont do it in crowded areas, and never do it when other vehicles are present. I will never streetrace another person if there is anyone in front, behind, or off to the sides. Most places those requirements are never met, but i live in the middle of nowhere so i get the cahnce fairly often. I am only willing to endanger myself, and the other drive must be willing to accept the risk as well. But never will i endanger somone else

dont worry it wasnt dangerous. he brought it on himself. no i dont think it was VTEC though. im not trying to make the crowd look bad, im trying to get someone to recognize the power of the rotary engine, and test my capabilities. if i lose, i always have the excuse that its a 22 year old car. haha. it wasn't "street racing" like illegal, just a little one on one, that's all.

ahaha good job man i made a bet with this dumb *** dude today saying i'd race him the summer of 2005 at the track....he's being all Mr. Showoff saying how he's gonna put a B18 or B16 or sum **** into his box type hatchback and he asks me wat kind of car i have...so i say an rx7....this guys being all smart assed trying to tell me how a header and intake and stuff isn't gonna help.....i should do the "real" stuff like changing my cams and boring out the cylinders....me and my few learned friends laughed our asses off at him so this guy tells "u know where the real power is at man?.....in a civic...u can't do much with the type of engine u have" i just kept quiet and told him lets race next summer then he's like nah it's ok i don't wanna make a fool of u....i laughed to myself thinking this is the height of ignorance hope my lil story dint bore anyone....amused me thorroughly

I can't wait for my friend to finish his civic because it should be a good race. Its not the typical civic that you see with the stickers and whatnot. This one is a total sleeper with money spent in all the right places. Motor should be nice because we picked it out of a civic in a junkyard back in japan and shipped it back before moving to the states. He tore the motor all the way down and replaced everything and bored it out and made sure everything was balanced like its supposed to be, no hurry job here, everything done right. I think the biggest advantage that he has over alot of the other hondas out there is the fact that he also grabbed the tranny when he pick out the engine back in japan so he has an lsd. I'm pretty anxious to see how the car will be when its all done. From the outside it looks like a bone stock civic dropped(like an inch all around) with black steelies for rims. After thats done the next step will be to turbocharge.

thete are tons of turbo civics and regular v-tecs,non-vtes here and memphis and they all try to look fast.Point being every one i've raced I beat except for the one turbo civic I raced.I like trying to cahse around mustangs, which is also fun because they just spin constantly as your staying right with them. Some around here think spinning tires is how you win or something.

maybe I shouldn't mention I was planning on boosting my accord (which is in the process of dieting off 300lbs)to 15psi and adding a custom tubular intake/ported throttle body...
oops, I think I just did.

Of course, my A/C compressor in the honda just kicked the bucket (and I mean 20 minutes ago, no warning just froze solid), so all my plans for it are going to get put on hold.
If I could find a nice 2nd gen for cheap that was worth a full restoration + mods (like maybe 89-92 n/a with bad paint and a motor that checks out but no rust/colissions) I'd drop the honda in a heartbeat. This piston engine nonsense gets on your nerves after a while. Unfortunately I've been shopping around for one for the last 6 months+ and no luck.

I have to admit if its done right a civic can be fast. I have a cool little story. My brother in law just got a prestine VW Jetta with a vr-6 with a 2.0 turbo. Man this thing can fly. The other day since its a high performance engine it has to be hot to burn off the carbon so we put it to it. It lost traction in second gear. I was like holy ****, the tires are smoking into 4th. Anyway were driving around and we pass a Tim Hortons and theres a 2 civics and what I thought to be an acura. So we keep driving when we notice about 5 minutes later theres this white car behind us. At first we thought it was a police ghost car so we did nothing but then we recognized from the Tims and he kept edging then backing off. So my brother in law looks at me at just hits the gas and we were flying. No matter how hard he tried to pass us he couldn't. We hit an onramp onto the highway doing 205km and he just shifts into 5th. I've never been in such a fast car in my life. Later he pulls us over and asks us what we got under the hood. And it just enbarasses the **** out o him because he spent tonnes o cash when he put in a motor out of an acura and modded it up. I think that the vr-6 is the fastest piston engine I've ever been in. And the best part was it was bone stock. Anyway sorry for the long post but man this car was fast. Hes going to be putting on some 17's soon. It'll look sweet even funnier its not his car its my sisters. She loves her fast cars!

Yeah.... they're real retarded when they are blowing you off the road... Give 'em some respect, dude. They are doing just what you are doing. Modding what they have to make it the best they can. As I've said before, I have a quite a few friends with 11, 12, and low 13 second daily driven Civics. Most of them don't go around trying to race everything in sight; they just like to mod their cars for the love of modding their cars. People who think that just because a car starts out as a low-powered economy 4 banger can never be anything decent irritate me.
