BBS Meshies
Is anyone familar with the BBS meshies? I've seen them on a few cars and I thought they were pure sex, but it just occured to me that I've never seen them availible. Whats the deal? Are they something that hasn't been around for a while? Anybody know of any similar meshes in 4x110.

"Hi Paul,
I’m sorry but we haven’t had a wheel for that car since the late 80’s. Sorry!!

If you do the 2nd gen big brake upgrade, you can install the BBS vert meshies which look better. Those are 15X6, iirc. They are also quite populat with the 2nd gen crownd and the center caps often run cost more than the wheels themselves, go figure.

The 1983 Limited Edition wheels are 14 by 5 1/2 inch, and are very light weight. Shown on the red car attached, with 60 series tires.
As Trochoid says, the convertible BBS wheels are 15 inch, 5 by 4 1/2 bolt pattern, and also very light Not sure about all the years, but mine are from a 1990 convertible RX-7. Shown on the beige car with 50 series tires.
Of course if you spend the money for some modern 17 inch wheels, you have more choices of high performance tires, but probably a harsher ride with the lower profiles.

Afaik, all the verts came with the same BBS wheels. Those do look good on a 1st gen, but then I'm partial to mesh wheels on the 1st gens anyway. Particularly with what I'm spending on my big brake, 5 bolt upgrade from the Epsilons to the SSRs. Wheels are nearly identical except for width and offset.
