Well it could be a host of problems, first I would do a load check on the Alternator if that checks out do the same thing for the bat. Also is it cold where you live. Let's say below 30 degrees all the time if so the cold could be affecting your batteries charge. Good luck hope that helps some!

Or if ya dont have a load tester, see if the alternator is actually putting out the voltage it should be. i think its 14 volts. and if its doing that...then yah....Load test:P

If this the Rx7 that you installed the GM CS-130 alternator in, then I would recheck the wiring, if you haven't already. If there's nothing wrong with the wiring, itself, then it might be a good idea to have your battery tested (maybe it isn't charging properly or maybe even overcharging). Is there any discharge coming from the battery, check that too?

yeah just drive your car to a shop and ask em to do a load check on the alt
All it is, is basically a huge ceramic heater that they hook up. Crank it to half the apms rating on the battery, and then hold it for 15 secs, and if it drops below 9.8v in that time, its no good. ( i belive its 9.8 neways)
They basically do the same thing for the alternator, .....i forget the numbers on that though.

Yea somethig is fishy with the alternator... either your alternator is dead or in the process of dying. Or you have a lose connection. Check your battery termanals and clean off the acid, sometimes that's the cause.
But i have my money on the dying alternator.

I'd wager on a dying alternator, craptacular battery, or loose/dirty connections. Leaning towards the connections if you've tried multiple alternators.

whats weird is that now i am charging the battery and it says 14v with its charging at this sec. when i tested with a voly tester. With this new alternator mod i hear a small buzz coming from the now (gm alternator) and figure out what it is. when hooked up. i followed what they said to hook up but still wonder

so 12v when its not running and 11,8 when turning over. thats all right,
Get a test when its running though. just go right on the back of the alt, where the big witre comes outta and cassing. See the voltage there. should be about 13V, and not higher then 15.
Also if ya have a diode checker on your multimeter check them out as well. Check the same way as voltage but just switch the leads and one way you should get a reading and then other no reading...
it looks like there is a voltage reg built into the dash as well.......:S not to sure about that, anyone know anything about that ?
