Battery DD car

Hey guys, about to move my battery to the passenger storage bin and wanted to find a good small battery. Found one on summit and wondering if anyones used it before for daily driving, with some sitting infront of work with the radio on (stock no amps or 12's). Its a Braille B2015

Has....
425 0 degree cranking amps
574 32 degree cranking amps
35 min reserve cap.
AGP type
15 lbs

L-6.8
W-3.4
H-6.1

price- 159

Think this should work? Have no plans to ever put anything fancy stero wise in, and going to upgrade to a gm 105 amp alt when I switch to the taurus e-fan. Thanks for the help guys.

no experience with Braille. I only use Optima (red and yellow) since I got a good deal on them but I have been hearing good things/reviews on Odyssey.

Remember you'll also want to find a battery box to throw it in to protect yourself from the gases.

Ill go with an Optima if I cant get one of these motorcycle batts to work for me, but they were all so heavy. Saw the Odyssey one the 960 I think was same size and weight as this one but this had twice the ca, but ill look into some other Odyssey ones to. Thanks WackyRicer

Good point Rotaryfreak, ill have to check but I think this ones sealed like Optimas, says you can mount it vertical or sideways laying flat. But good point none the less, there not just to cover your ugly battery up Thanks Rotaryfreak

Any sealed battery won't need to be in a box... only vented batteries.

A good cheap alternative is an early Miata battery... they are sealed AGM units and were well known for lasting for years and years.

They're good batteries, widely used in Rolex/Le Mans. In fact the Speedsource RX-8's used them when they won the 24hrs of Daytona in 2010.
Just get the battery hold down for the battery of your choice, i think you'll be suprised how good one of those little babies work. Brailles really come a long way.. And i think you could get something smaller then the 15 lb B2015. Since you are running an alternator..

Sweet, yeah will probably end up with one of the Braille batteries, saw the miata ones and there about 130ish ill just drop the extra 30 more dollars and get the Braille, thanks for all the input guys, I really apreciate it. And those batt hold downs for the Brailles were like 90 bucks, but they did look pretty flash. Later ill post up a couple pics after I get it moved.

Hurry up and finish...LOL I want to use the exact same battery with the Braille mount here:

http://www.jegs.com/i/Braille+Auto/147/211/10002/-1

This battery I believe is a hair thicker than the PC680, but less height and length. OH and more power. I believe it was meant to be a DD battery.

Never any trouble with Optimas. If money was no object I'd definitely throw in an Odyssey. The CCA you listed seem small. Atleast my rotary seems to be cranky (no pun intended) if it doesn't get the cracking speed.
