Bada$$ pictures of the new wheels...

alright... lo and behold, I won;t tease you any longer, here are a couple of pictures of my new wheels on my -SE. Now granted I have a slightly skewed opinion since I own the thing, but it's got to be one of the sweetest looking combos I've seen on a 1st gen.

click the links for background quality pics of the same images (2x the size)

Also, I dropped the coil overs on the front A LOT. Do you guy think that's too much?

I think that it might be a TOUCH too low in the front, and the back end kinda needs to be a little lower if possible. It looks pretty good as it is though .

PS - What size are those again?

yeah, the GC spring for the back will be here shortly, but that won't lower the back all that much, but enough...

and here's one more pic from our meeting last night. (not a bad turnout for our weknesday night cruise)

3 1 st gens
3 Turbo IIs

ive never been too fond of those wheels. however i really like the contrast between the tornado silver polished lip and grey(?) spokes. 16s are definately the way to go.

Arent those the ones I put on your car using paint?

I cant remember... but I did it to the ones I liked the most...

Well... Pretty soon I will want to come out and cruise with you... hopfullly I wont get a curfew ticket, or anything

Well, see you this weekend.. peace

Andrew

EDIT:
If you raise the front a "touch" and drop the rear, to become even with the front... it would look CLEAN!!!!

I now want a GSL-SE that is that color(or one that I can paint) those rims... and lots of mods.... now once, I get my 80 done, it will be time for a GSL-SE!!!!

I hope I can get a job soon... Remeber that car wash that was shot up over here? I might try and work there... will see....

Laterz, Andrew

For the best handling you need to have the front 10mm higher than the back. This is due to roll center issues.

The front of your car is far too low (mine is currently exactly the same), so just raise it a bit. Apparently the difference is noticable.

Besides that though, that is an awesome looking car. It's definately up there with some of the best combos I've seen. Congrats.

There is actually a 7 that's the same colour here in Canberra, Australia that has blue Simmons B45's on it that looks good. I think it's greatly because of the body colour. I like it.

That's a hell of a turnout for a meet! Around here, we usually get about 6-8 guys, most of which have "project" cars. None of these sparkling clean paint jobs with fancy rims.

Very nice looking car though. I actually like the rear at that height, it's the front I would change. But I also like the even-all-the-way-around-the-tire look, as opposed to the slammed-behind-the-stock-fender-bling-bling look

Opinions, opinions...

Thansk for all teh comments guys... And to answer teh questions, they are 16x7 running 305/45-16 AVS ES100's

Now, about the roll center. In the front I have the GC coil-overs to lower it, but I'm also running turn in spacer that are supposed to raise the roll center back up, but not sure to where. Basically the setup on the front is stariaght off an IT racecar.

the front is the right hieght if the back were to be lowered down that far as well.

right now it looks really angled like a funny car or something.

if you got the back end down that far it would look sick.
