Back wiper won't work, its not the motor
I thought I had a bad back window wiper motor that was bad but it looks like I am not getting juice to the motor. I checked the fuse, it was bad, so I put another 10 amp fuse in there and still nothing. I checked my connections and they were all in there tight. Is there some kind of contact that has to be just right at the passenger side strut?...Anyone have any ideas? Thanks...cjf

check the continuity of the wires ... mine were broken
P.S you won't get any power at the motor when the hatch is open as the contacts on the strut break the circuit when the hatch is open

check the switch built into the right hatch strut. As Mike says it's supposed to cut power to the wiper when the hatch is open. That switch gets constantly banged every time you open/shut the hatch and there's a little plastic ring in it that eventually disintigrates. With the switch exploded, no power goes through to the motor.
