back from the 1/4mile

Heres some turbo 12a numbers. Unfortunately, I only mustered a 14.13 for a best! BUT, traction was definitely a issue, AND my driving skill at the track. I think with everything set right, ideal launch with the street tires would of yielded something closer to a 13.8 or so.

Boost was set at 8psi. I was going to run 10psi, but the fuel level was too low and I don't have effective baffling in the tank to run it higher when I was low or it will starve out on full throttle bursts. At the time I got to the track, I thought there would be AT LEAST ONE gas station with in 5miles with PREMIUM GAS!!!! I mean, come on!!!!! So I bought two gallons of race fuel for $5/gallon! Yikes!! But I did bump it up to 10psi, and sure enough it starved for a moment and I had to back off quick.

But all and all, a good time, for the last of the season as the WI area will soon be snowed over!

Damnit, I was just out there two weeks ago. We ran my buds V-8 FC with a best of 11.69@120mph.

What lane was shitty? He said the left lane was bad but the right was tons better.

82streetracer: Yes and no. I'm using A rotor housing from your engine, does that make you feel better, and I think a few other minor parts. But that rotor housing was in 99.9% perfect condition.

Thanks on the good comments from all.

Setzep: We're going to have to meet up sometime soon and go head to head! LOL!!! But seriously, this weekend, I may be in the twin cities.

Can you give some more specs on the turbo 12A? Is it just a 12AT, or a custom job?

I'm looking in particular for stock port 12A/TII manifold + turbo/blow-thru Nikki setups...

Very respectable times - dropping that 60 foot will land you in the mid 13's! What gear were you going through the traps in?

The turbo is a S4, wastegate ported, removed flapper and twin scroll port matched, a nice custom downpipe, 2-1/2inch exhuast, weber sidedraft carb, my own homemade carb plenimum/bonnet, only a stock TII intercooler mounted upfront(soon to change). More and more, but too lazy to type right now.

Your times were consistent, that is good.

Hey, I thought running premium fuels in the rotary is bad juju...is that only true with the NA engines? ...or special to how you have this engine setup? ...or all they all wet?

Thanks,
Brian T. C.
