axle removal ?

axle removal ?

after installing my 85 gsl rear end and ss b lines and c drilled and slotted rotors it looks sweet and grabs alot better but i ran into a few bugs and took my axles out to check the diff for wear and it looked brand new but after installing averything and looking everything over again and again im getting this ticking sound when any gear is engaged i cant hear it higher than 30 exhaust too lud but creeping in gear this noise is constant ticking is there a certain way the exles go back in the chunk??/ any body had this happen??

You might have damaged a bearing while installing or removing the axles. It could be best to check the bearings, and seals. Possibly replace them.

yeah good though guys i dont know why i didnt think of that. will the bearings from drum rear end work on a disc rear end? both are 84

Not sure about bearings, but just in case somebody actually searches (doubtful) the axles are the same.
