Axle help

I have an 83' RX ITA car that I race. Road America wasn't kind to me this past weekend and I have a slight wobble in my right rear axle. It's an 83 gsl disc brake rear. Do I need a disc brake rear axle or can I use an axle from a drum? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Any axle from a 79-83 in the junkyard will do, the 84-85 I think are different, but I am unsure. You will likely need seals and bearings in the rear on top of it.

Once you slam off the junkers brakes, the axle is the same for both disk and drum.

79-83 is small bearing and all are interchangeable, 84-85 is big bearing. The axle housings are different for drum and disc rears, but the axles themselves interchange.
