*rant*

a suburban is not an SUV, there aint nothin sport about it. It's a truck, and that's how WE use it, no matter what the soccer moms do, that thing is a truck. hell, how do you think my rex got here, and the 2 motors?

*/rant*

that wasnt directed at anyone in particular, just something that bugs me.

yup, mine too

its cool, i have my favorite year of chevelle (unique year, 68-72 were all really the same car, and 70-72 shared sheetmetal, but 70 had a unique grille)

and i have my favorite year of Rx7, the SA is just more sexy than the fb in my eyes, at least in the back.... and its not the first model year.

that and both of my cars are decade cars, 70 and 80, now all i need is to find some unique badass car that was made in 90, and buy it too.

70 had the best setup with 4 headlights and two taillights. I don't like the 71 or 72.

Nice, looks like my house - i have a 70 frame up resto going on (see TeamChevelle - same user name) and a tiny first gen parked next to it also.

Funny thing is that the chevelle always handled better than the rex (before i redid the bushings and added aftermarket sway bars and control arms), but the rex was faster off the line (4.0posi rear w/ small tires). Go figure

Id like to keep the mazda for a 9 second drag project (350 NA) but i need to sell it. https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=151046

Go get your license at 18, proceed to get no discounts for grades etc, then, get 5 speeding tickets for 20+ over and no insurance on at least 4 of them within a year, then try and get insurance. Its hard.

Dear god. You Americans really gotta try socialism. My insurance and vehicle registration is $683 CDN, for damage to my vehicle AND liability. Not only that, but I have the choice of having 'no fault,' which means I can't sue or be sued if I have an accident, or I can go with your standard tort coverage. Either way, if I get hurt, I'm covered. God bless government monopolies. Manntis and I are sitting pretty thanks to good old SGI.

Aint I a stinker!

NJ sucks for insurance. Nice looking SA and Chevelle. The suburban is a SUV whether you care to admit to it or not.

I pay $1400 a year for insurance on my car, that's 3 million liability, and standard comprehensive (covers theft from vehicle, and contents, etc), and Delivery coverage (extra $300 a year to cover work use).. Otherwise it'd only be $1100 a year.

And that's whithout any discounts as I'm a New driver and don't get any until 5 years from now...

My parents only pay $800 a year for their insurance on thei Van, and that has all the coverage mine has, plus Collision...

Sucks to have private insurers

All prices Canadian Funds, of course...

I pay almost $300 a year for my 84 GSL-SE. Sometimes it pays to be old (almost 40). Actually it sucks being old but the insurance rate ain't bad.

Well, for a little while longer I'm on my dad's business "fleet" policy paying $1200 a year, but thats cause we fudged a few things, I'm just "borrowing" my "dads" car. Even though its mine. I'm sure we'll get caught sometime soon then its off the policy I go. I got a quote a year ago when i was still 17, with no points and it would have been 1800 a year. But, I have 2 points now, so its gonna be 2200 at least, probaby more like 2400. Argh, this sucks. Oh well.
