Question AutoZone fuel pump

Has anyone ever bought the universal fuel pump at auto zone that pumps like 2-5psi(The autozone down here sell them anyway). I just wanted to know if it was good or crap. i think its made by master.
Thanks, Ryan

You should have a 7 psi pump or better for the Sterling Carb.

I've got Facets on my vehicles. So far, two out of three tend to be inadequite. The other hasn't really been driven hard yet. I'm going to parallel two Facets on one and replace another with a big Carter. I'm not sure what to do about the last one since there is not very much room to mount a big pump.

I'm probably going to send my carb to you just for a rebuild. I'm also going to install a new fuel pump. What is the requirement for a stock nikki?

I bought their 7-9 psi one (looks the same, just higher output and pressure) and used a regulator. Its ok for a daily driver.

It will probably starve a race motor/modded carb/ported engine. Its a small pump and the output isint there for serious hi rpm performance, thats all. For average street driving its fine.

You should just spend the extra 20$ and get a holley red pump. You can't beat the 97gph at 7psi. If you can starve an engine that has a holley red feeding it, you deserve a medal.

I got two of this pump. It's probably more than you'll need. There is a smaller one but i don't have the link for it. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...=CRT%2DP4600HP

I have one of these pumps, and on the guage on the holley regulator the pressure drops slightly when revved at high rpm. Does that mean it is probably inadequate? Its just one of thos cheap autozone type pumps, but I was considering gettting on of the carter fuel pumps.
