Automatic Transmission Diaphram

From what I have been reading and told by the mechanic that did the engine install, my transmission problems are coming from a diaphram that pumps transmission fluid into the engine... does this sound right to anyone?

My haynes manual says NOTHING about automatic trannys other than "uhhh, like check the fluid, and add some if needed, don't overfill"

When I start my engine up in the mornings, it will smoke really bad for about 5-10 seconds (different each time) because tranny fluid is being pumped into the engine.

I don't know how or why that would be done, but that's what the guy says... he's not too shabby either... the guy is very reputable (Alamo Rotary-San Antonio Texas)

Hey man Im sorry I wasnt trying to be a dick at all and I did read your post I ment to say "pumped from" its just that atf is a good lube but it also breaks down components in the "engine" with a constant application which is why the atf treatment works so well

atf doesnt have the viscosity to protect the rotary engine from the heat of friction

I could see the diaphram pushing the atf to an atf cooler but not into the engine

someone please correct me if Im wrong

I do appoligise if I came across a little harsh (I didnt realize my caps lock was on) I was just tring to get a few laughs
