Syclones and Typhoons would generally run mid-high 14s I believe. 0-60 would be in the LOW 4s though....it's just that the AWD and pisspoor aerodynamics slowed them down as speed went up...

Very cool trucks though!

I have seen most cyclones go 14.1 to 13.8 @ 95-98 mph. It varied from one to another. A guy I know was running 14.1@96. I raced him in my 3rd gen and he killed me off the line by 2 cars. Half way through I passed him and finished with 4 car lengths between us. Yep, the ole RX7 had him on the top end. His 60' were consistant 1.8's which were very good. Mine were 2.2 at best.

Actually, magazines at the time tested the Automatic to be a click faster 0 to 60.

Unhappy Need a tranny swap!

I recently bought a 93 RX-7. The good thing was that it was cheap and the bad...it was auto! I've been looking for shops that can swap a manual in for me, I am incapable of doing the job myself (lazy...and even if I wasn't, no tools!) and am willing to pay any price within it's reason. Can anyone tell me any shops that can do this and do a freaggin good job at it?
Also, in the process of asking around for a shop I was told that it was "illegal" to do this swap...is that true?! And if so, what the F**K for?!?!
