It has always been a rule of thumb for me to change plugs when I change oil. That is every 2000 - 2500 miles. I have been known to pull them at 1500 just because. Maint. schedule is important
thats why i was using autolights to save $$

but now i fully belive that changeing NGK's every 10k or so is much better

I could never go that long before changing my plugs. I know, most will say the plugs will last that long or longer, but I am an old dog and do not like doing new tricks. I will try different approaches to things, but not the oil change or the plug change, or anything to do with the maint. schedule.

This is funny and on the same line. My mothers husband took his car into the Ford place because it wasn't running right. Funny 'cause this idiot is a fuel propulsion specialist. They ask him when the last time he changed, or had the plugs changed in his car. His response,
"I only have 100,000 miles on it, I don't think they need changing yet!" They had to heat some of them to get them out.

NGKs are the best way to go in my book.
