Lazy?
Go holley, if you take that route you can turbo it later easy.
I would stay with the nikki personally you can make good power with it if you can not be lazy and choke it

Not really sure what your issue with the semiautomatic choke on the Nikki is. If it's working correctly, all you need to do is pull the **** out once the key is on and it takes care of itself. If it's not doing that then yours may need some work. Most Holley's have fully manual chokes, meaning you will need to set and release the choke ****. There are a few that have fully automatic electric chokes but I'm not sure if there are any that fit a rotary.
Most Webers that fit a rotary don't have chokes per se, they have a starter circuit, which still needs a choke **** and a functional water temperature sensor #2. Some Webers don't even have a starter circuit.
Perhaps if you would describe the problem you're having with your Nikki, we may be able get it working correctly and save you an even bigger headache after you install a carb that you're even more dis-satisfied with.

I don't know of anyone using a 2-barrel Holley on a rotary. I don't think they make one big enough.
By the way, what color is your car? Just wondering if I've seen it over at Tom's shop.

sorry to jack the thread but i didn't wanna start a new one for something that can be answered quickly, anyways, is there a thread on how to re-install the choke? i had someone strip my nikki and they took the choke off and i don't know where to start to put it back on, or can i even do it with the stripped nikki?

Easiest way I know of is to download the factory carb manual, it has detailed exploded diagrams. You will need to wind the spring 1/2-1 turn before you slip it over the tab that connects to the choke's butterfly. Link to the manual is in my sig line.

If you havent found a solution yet..
I dont recall if the RB Holleys (465) have the hot air tube they mention or not, Id have to go home to find out, but this may be the answer?

An electric choke conversion for Holley carbs. I took the choke out of mine (for whatever reason??) I love the holley, it runs great and is so easy if you need to do any adjustments. But I always foget how it doesnt like to idle cold byitself when the weather cools down.
If they dont have the hot air tube, I saw a little sensor that you put on the either header or block, and it controls the choke position from heat.
(On a side note I think I may have bought a black Rx7 from Tom at Franklins, was a KILLER car!!)
