*Carl & innitab - I know this is supposed to be in the classifieds but I need this BAD. I would greatly appreciate it if you'd leave it here so people would see it.

I NEED THE WIRING FOR AN 85 TRANNY!!! I'm doing the Auto to 5 Spd swap on my 85 GS and I have EVERYTHING except the wiring for the trans. I need all of the wires that start at the inner driver's fender and go to the trans. I'm not sure what all it is exactly 'cause I've never seen one, but I believe it is a harness with 5 wires?? If someone has this and can hook me up please let me know ASAP!

I also need to be sure and get the "neutral switch" off the side of the transmission. I think that's what the Haynes manual calls it. It is a red and a yellow wire with a bullet type plug on each, and it has a rubber boot on it. Mine broke off of my donor tranny so I'll need a replacement.

Please excuse the bump! I'm still looking for this manual tranny wiring. Please helpl me out if you've got it! It's the only piece I'm missing for this swap and I can't find what I need!

 

There are actually only 2 wires. Well, at least there are only 2 on my 82. One is to activate the reverse lights and the other is to tell some control unit that the car is in 5th gear. Both are not incredibly important, unless of course you absolutely have to have your reverse lights. My car went through a safety check without them, and passed.

BTW, the 5th gear thing might be for the cruise control. Mine is unhooked and I haven't had any problems.
