I mounted my tweeters in the upper corner of the door panel. I hade to make a little room by indenting the sheet metal of the door. I'm running a set of Elemental Design's.

I looked at your cardomain page. . .did you just paint the stereo console/dash/cover thing, or did you recreate one from mdf?

It's a regular stereo kit I modified and then bondo'd over, sanded and painted.

My main problem with my project, after much reflection, was that I was trying to do a couple things, and they were the wrong things:

A) I was trying to fit 2 10s back there.
B) I was trying to be waaaay too fancy.
C) I was trying to fit 2 10s back there. That counts for double.

It was like trying to fit twenty pounds of manure in a ten pound bag. Every single thing I tried (and we're talking over 20 different mockups) would solve one problem, but create one or two more. It was an exercise in futility. If I knew then what I know now, I would have just bought a pair of 8s and been done with it. When/if I get back around to the project, that's precisely what I will do. Hell, there's enough room back there for four 8s, but definitely not enough to run 10s.

With your skills, I am suprised you haven't already done it. You could probably make a killing (read: $$$) once you get the mold made for it. I know amlost everyone here would probably want one from you.

Maybe an 8", with a bandpasss design, to maximize the bass from a small area?

Just thinking out loud..

Freak, it would be nice. I would have to take apart my entire car do do such a project. A couple of the local rotary heads are finishing up their cars around here and want to do some systems, so I might have a chance. I'm just not going to get anyones hopes up about a box that might not happen.

I just wish I could find a local company to make copies of the fiberglass enclosures I have.
I'm sure they would sell like hotcakes, hehe.

Max, do you have any pics of those boxes outside of the car? It would help in designing some new ones.
