i was curious if you still had any of the different jets for the dellorto? i thought i remembered you selling it off a little while back, and i'll buy any and all of the jets you've got left. i'm still trying to get mine narrowed down.... i set it to the stock RB setup and ended up with detonation! freaked me out! the suck part is i was out of town, so i had to baby her down the highway... argh! also, if you still have the fuel regulator(and possibly a pressure gauge) i'd consider it too. the local speed shop seems to sell only crap.... the gauge is wildly inaccurate, and the reg (i asked for one for 2.5-3.5 psi) only goes down to 4psi. same folks sold me a bum holley pump(sorry, no returns).... someone needs an ***-whoopin'! at least holley was decent enough to warranty it.

nope sorry, sold it all as a package deal. the reg, pump and guage i had all came from summit racing.com, beat the hell out of local prices and took 2 days to get here. I got my jets from a place in cali but theres a few shops you can get them @. 1st off call the local v.x. bug shops they used dell. for a while. also try
http://www.racecar.co.uk/dellorto/ they sell EVER PART of a dellorto carb NEW. I would think the det. your having is because of timing, i know i had no prob. with the stock r.b. settings on my ported motor(1st 1) but when i started messing with the timing i wound up detting it.

weird thing is... i set my lead timing back to stock, 8-10 degree split for trail.... i wonder if she's just eating fuel pumps? i need to get that holley red back on there. i mean, if the pump ain't up to snuff, wouldn't that cause it to lean out at higher rpms? just going out on a limb here....

hey guys,
Just a quick reminder -- if you are trying to get the attention of one forum member only, please use the private message funtion or email. This is all in the regs posted for the forum. The reason we ask this is because taking up space in one of the sections (when you are only trying to contact one other member) kinda clutters things up for the everyone else and tends to do its part to slow the forum down.
If you are uncertain how to use the private message (PM) function, simply click on the "user profile" link (after you've logged onto the forum) then select "view all private messages". From that point, you will get a button to send a pm to someone (please note, to send a pm to someone, you must know their forum user name).
Thanks
