To Assemble, or not to Assemble
So I won this on eBay, and was wondering to keep it in the box, or to assemble it. What would you guys do?

I have a motorhead cousin who had one of these as a kid. He told me he worked on it for hours sanding all the parts so it would actually work. He said he still has it too. Ive been looking for a FB model but havent seen one yet. I guess I like wasting money...

Build it. They are still made, although that mfg's kit isint. Dont expect it to work though. Mine never has.
The plastic gear on the eletric motor just slips, too much friction.
Looks cool though.

I started putting it together. It seems that the reduction drive from the electric motor to the drive shaft has quite a bit of friction Carl, I can't spin it by hand. The box was already opened, so I said the hell with it. Besides, some of the parts were broken off the tree, although the bags were still sealed. It's still cool to have chillin in the room.
Who makes the kits nowadays? I'd like to buy one that actually works.

Before you guys order one, the quality of the kit is really crappy. Just so you guys know.... If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't have ordered one and save myself $20.
Also, you can find SA22C kits from Tamiya every now and then, although rare. Tamiya usually has excellent quality.
