Ashtray Mod........Sounds great
I put my new.....old Jenson 6 disk changer in my GSL-SE
Put it in the Drivers side rear bin...........Attached it to the top so I could still use some of its space........
I had an Idea to put the wired remote in the ashtray.......Why? So I could close it up and out of the way when not in use.......I made a adapter to rest on out of foam....I will redo this in red leather at a later time.......
I thought this location would be good for access while driving.........I think it came out good.......
What do you think?

Is that carpet on the floor of the storage box?
Nice mod. I've always wanted to do something with my ashtray since I don't smoke. I want to make it motorized but its a tight area to work in. The glovebox may be better to make motorized, kinda like James Bonds car in Tomorrow Never Dies.

Very nice work. You really have a pretty tricked out interior there Jimtesla.
@Directfreak - Are you getting the DIY wideband that was discussed on here a few months ago? That looks like the same display.

forum members if you want to send me your kits i'll put em together for almost nothin. send me an rx-7 model kit, a rotary keychain, 20 bucks, whatever and im happy
i found the o2 sensor for the kit and its only 140 bucks at napa:
http://www.napaonline.com/cgi-bin/nc...9&prmenbr=5806
as for the o2 setup total its 140 for the sensor plus
10 for pcb
23 for parts(through them)
36 for display
20 for the completion kit id guess since they dont list that price....
10 bucks for the sumitomo connector id guess since they dont list that either
that adds up to about 240 plus shipping
ok damn i didnt know i could do it so cheap, screw egt i guess im gonna go wideband O2 now. doh just need some cash. going to have to add another O2 for me since i have the streetport exhaust but thats still not much more than what i was going to spend on a decent egt setup.
gamble
damn sorry for hijacking the thread but i'll start a new thread when i actually build one of em

They are going to sell them fully built and tested soon on the same site. Once they have established a "built" price, we could then determine what it's worth to ya to get 'em done.
As soon as I find out, I'll post it, and see if you want to make them available to us common folk.
BTW, I think those prices you listed may be in AUS dollars.

Here is the Email they sent in response to my query:
Dear enthusiast,
Please read all of this email, and if we recently sent you one like it, then please ignore it.
You recently put your name on our "You Want It When" page to be informed of when we will accept more orders for built units.
We are ready, right now! Just follow this link below ...
http://techedge.com.au/vehicle/wbo2/builtwb.htm
and then follow the "order it here" links to complete your order.
At present we have just a couple of outstanding orders from people who are still organising their payment, but this can change rapidly so make sure you order sooner than later if you're interested in getting your built unit.
And yes, as I write this, the L1H1 sensor you need is not readily obtainable, but this has happened in the past, and the usual suppliers will eventually have them in stock again (only the NTK L1H1 sensor will work - don't ask about substitutes - they don't exist).
Also, please be aware that we will be offering a new model that will operate down to 11.0 volts (the current unit requires 13.2) and it will also have an optional RPM input for better logging options.
This new unit will not be available in built form for at least 4 to 6 weeks, so if you are after a unit that has been field tested over the last 12 months, then the current (and cheaper) unit is the one to get.
Peter.

Obtaining the correct NTK Sensor
The single most expensive and vital component of the DIY-WB kit is the NTK wide band sensor (also called a UEGO, or Universal Exhaust Gas Oxygen sensor).
The DIY-WB kit works ONLY with a specific 5 wire NTK sensor (with a 7 pin plug). This sensor is available as a replacement part for a Honda (part # 36531-P07-003 - Honda Civic 1.5 3 Door, circa 1995, US, non-Californian model).
The NTK sensor is stamped with the text L1H1 and is often referred to using this name. Any other sensor will not work and may damage your DIY-WB circuit.
The correct NTK sensor is available from, Motec for their own wide band meter, but it's also available at a much lower price from a number of web based discount trading stores.
Here's some more information on the NTK sensor and the sensor's Sumitomo connector we have collected.
Here are some suppliers we're aware of that sell the L1H1 NTK sensor:
The Parts Bin, or go to their catalogue entry - C5010-75044
NAPA Online, or go to their catalogue entry - ECHOS791
I'm working with Petro-Ject to get the correct oxygen sensor.
