ARGH! Frustration!

Just venting!

My Battery connectors melted!!!!! Engine started going nuts, lights flickering. Pop the hood, battery cable connectors had melted off the battery! Managed to get them re-connected and the car won't start as there is a serious short somewhere, Fudge!

Wish me luck!

Sorry to hear that.

Check the starter cable first, then the charge lead from the alternator; most other high-draw lines are fuse-link or fuse protected.

I had the same issue. It turned out to be the positive cable on the starter end. replaced the aluminum cable with copper and problem solved. good luck.

Have your local auto parts store make you up a set of new battery cables, wont cost too much.
