Page B of this document:
http://foxed.ca/rx7manual/manuals/19...ingDiagram.pdf
Contains the wiring diagram for the ignition system of the 1980 SA.
It's part of the FAQ.
If you're just looking for photos of how the coils go in, try these:
Trailing coil (T) is the forward one (blue connectors)
Leading coil (L) is the rearward one (black connectors) (tach conn goes here too)
Rotor 1 is the front rotor;
Leading spark plug is the bottom one
So, T1 is the top plug of the front rotor, L2 is the bottom plug on the rear rotor, etc.
Match that up with the markings on the dizzy cap, and that takes care of the plug wires.

DD, if that's your car, that's some of the finest and most detailed restoration work I've ever seen on the forum. If it is yours', you should have a thread documenting all of it. It makes mine looks like child's play by comparison. That's what I would classify as concourse quality work.
Just read through your carb thread, excellent.

I'm humbled by your praise, gents; yes, that's my 80 K8 SA, "Spry Beastie".
The above pics were taken during my first attempt to *really* restore the engine compartment, and date from around 5 years ago.
It was the first time in my life I'd had the luxury of sufficient money and a garage of my own, and a daily driver car (91 Camaro) that was reliable enough that it allowed me to have the RX offline for several months. I did a full rebuild of the engine at the time, too (brand new housings, e-shaft, bearings, all seals & springs), and finished up getting the body reshot in time for SevenStock 7.
Not long after that, the car was sidlined by a smog fail (caused by the ruptured exhaust headpipe, mainly - - no air injection) and it went into storage until I could find/make parts.
The carb thread is where I picked it back up, last July. I'll be going for first start sometime in the next week or two, and will be hopefully smogging it over the Xmas break.
Then she'll be back on the road.
