Anyone want to go swimming?

Okay. I have a swimming pool in my spare wheel tub. I checked the drains, but they are clear, could the drains have a cracked line or something that is causing them to leak somewhere? I haven't checked under my drivers seat or passenger seat yet (i heard thats another common problem) but I will do that as soon as I get home today. It also rained today so it will give me another chance to check things.

Anyone have any ideas?

I had water in my spare from the rear windshield wiper arm that goes through the glass. It killed my wiper motor and made the carpet super stinky. I replaced the motor and used a little silicone under the bushing and have not had any problem since. Good luck.

Check tiur hatch gasket and the seal around the 1/4 windows. It is possible the drain tubes have dried out and cracked too.

If you fix the problem, you'll never really know if the girls like you for you or for your car.

the exact same thing happened to me today. I live in baltimore and weve gotten some record rainfall over the past few days. i had literally 2 inches of sitting water in my spare tire well. I started taking out carpet today to find the source of the leak. what were you saying about the drain plugs being clogged? are those the black rubber things in the well?

Well, I think I figured out what the problem was. There are two drain plugs in each corner on the hatch, Mine are paint colored not black. I did the old water bottle check and I discovered they both only appeared to be clear, a 2 foot piece of No. 12 Solid AWG wire cleared them out pretty well, I also went ahead and made sure my ones around the sunroof were also completely clear. So I think that fixed the problem, I will know the next time it rains
