the older ones have slant-cut tips, the newer ones are straight.

I've got the newer style on my car. The newer style is straight cut, the older style is slanted.

when the first came out in the 80's, they were straight cut, then they made it pointy or slanted.

wackyracer ~

before i say anything, know that this is written in peace. maybe my terminology is wrong, and if it is forgive me. however, as i recall, the RB/PrimaFlow mufflers from the good ol' days had slanted resonated tips with red paint on the inner part of the ends. if you guys can find pictures of any older Ansa muffler, they were very similar. my brother's car has an older-style muffler on it, but unfortunately he's 1000 miles away right now so i can't snap a photo.

however, i did snap a photo of my exhaust (about 10 minutes ago). i ordered this system in February of this year.

this is what i was calling straight cut, if i am wrong, i apologize for the mix-up.

np. My cousin still got his 83 (bought brand new in 82) It has been in storage for over 10 years with complete RB exhaust system, Dellorto and Epsilons. Maybe one day, when I find the time, I would take pix.

I just checked out RB's website. I guess the new mufflers have the old style tips.

Look at the exterior, mine had stamped in half inch tall letters in the body of it with the make, It's been awhile I can't recall what mine said, But I was able to ID mine from that.

I purchased my system less than one year ago. It has the straight cut tips on it, not the slanted.

I also bought mine about a year ago, and I also have straight cuts.

Maybe they do it by the muffler?
