Question Anyone try a Supertrap Muffler on a 7?

I am thinking of useung a supertrap muffler. has anyone treid one and if so how did you like it? I like the tunability of them, as well as the fact that I could tone it down (noise wise) if I wanted to.

They work as advertised.... To get max performance, you just uncap it. BUT, if you want a quiet car, expect to lose a lot of power...

Yeah, what he said, I used a 5 inch diffuser on the end of a too loud muffler one time and it didn't really help until you took out so many discs that it was choking a stockport 12a. I can only imagine what one of those shiny 3 inch ones does to choke out a rotary.

All I can say is I have tried more mufflers than a lot of folks I know and its still Primaflow all the way.

I second what everyone else here says. I have a 3" inlet 5" disc supertrapp on the racecar and you really need to run a small number of discs for it to be somewhat quiet. Which of course takes away a lot of power!

Magnaflow makes some nice mufflers. A 2.5" diameter muffler with a 6" can flows better than a Racing Beat Primaflow but is a little louder. And costs less than 1/2 as much. It's all a tradeoff.

IF you put two Supertrapps side by side with 2" inlets and 3" discs you'd have a nice little system. Pricey.

Save money: buy a straight pipe and stick a potatoe in the end. You'll have the same result.

Personally, my favorite is Flowmaster. Mostly just because I like the sound.

I'm looking for that supercar sound like a porsce or something I don't like loud but I do like the sound of the superccars out there. I'd really like to hear some with otu have to buy them first. Two supertraps sound interesting.

I'm interested in Edelbrock if you think it sounds good. Any sound clips?

Use a Racing Bleat presilencer and then the muffler doesn't make as much impact on the tone.
Then you can use just about the cheapest turbo muffler out there and it won't sound tinny.
