Can anyone give me some rough figures for e/t on a streetported 12a with mikuni and header stright to primaflow.Taking my car to the track but contemplating if it's worth it.Car has no extra weight,ac stripped,electric fan as well.I know the last time I used this setup on my old car it after I figured out what the hell I was doing,I ran a 9.36 in the 1/8 on a stock port.Never got to got to the other track because some kid with no license decided to ram me at 55mph at a redlight!!Sorry i'm rambling on.But just curious if anyone has a similar setup and has some times to post.Thanks

 

i got a 12a thats been ported and polished and high flow cat with 2 1/4 in exaust, with a K&n fillter and thats about it and i ran 15.4 on that set up. but im hoppin to put a new carb and header in and it is said that that should take a sec or so off so...

 

Wow,not all at once please.That's a decent time.Are you running the stock carb and exhaust manifold?

 

Hey I have a 12a turbo with large street porting, I use injectors(large) and a 4:56 LSD with a computer(Haltech at the time I ran the car) I ran a 13.2 time for the 1/4 mile. The car wasn't tuned well but it ran real strong in 1st and 2nd, kinda went flat in 3rd and 4th. I have a new Autronic computer that runs Fuel and ignition and I purchased a direct fire ignition(no distributor) i am also buying a new larger flowing turbo now. I am shooting for
a 450-500 HP... once the new turbo is decided on and installed i'll take it to a dyno and run some numbers. The good thing about my computer is that it'll compensate for all kinds of different weather conditions automatically(humidity,density etc) Yeah you can run some times with a 12a. Guys in Australia and Puerto Rico have been running 10 second runs with an old style turbo system. They have been doing this for years

 

14.478 @ 90. something mph is what ran at Palmdale the day after christmas. That was with detonation at the top of 3rd too.. so I think I crank a few more tenths out of it with some more tuning and a set of DOT's
