I've seen them on there and they keep getting me thinking. Those of you that don't know what I am talking about see the link below....

My 7's shocks & struts have definitely, definitely seen better days. If I shake the car it will sit there and bounce up and down for five minutes afterwards. I'm thinking about going with some RB springs and Tokico HPs as a nice, affordable upgrade. I just wondered if anyone has bought them, and if they are really the real deal and not some sort of rip off job? It seems like a great deal to me, as the same setup would cost about $214 from Racing Beat.
Thoughts guys??

I bought a set from Ebay for the $184 shipped price.
Received them in 3 days to Oregon.
Installed them this summer and they work great.
I also run RB Fr&Rear Springs.
I drive pretty aggressive and this combo seems to work Great.
FYI. The fronts are Cartridges not the complete Strut Assembly.

Here's another vote to get 'em from Billy.
I've got Blues in my car and they're a good compromise street/autoX shock. I'm probably going to ditch mine this summer and go with the 'race' Illuminas and coil-overs, but for stock or RB spring rates the Blues are a very good bet.

I'm ready to order a set myself...
Are the Adjustable Illuminas worth the 180 dollar difference...???
My RX is used for street, not daily but definatly every weekend... and planning on taking it to the dragstip.

Although the Illuminas have adjustability, the Blues are more than enough and will actually rattle your fillings a bit on a rough road, if paired with the RB springs. But take one corner at speed and you'll never regret the purchase. Although why not just go to a local aftermarket parts supplier and avoid the shipping costs altogether? Keeping in mind when I did that I wound up waiting for 2 months for my rear dampers because Tokico screwed up somehow and left a part out.
I just finished reading a few threads that came up on the search, (HP's vs Illuminas) and everyone seems happy eitherway...
Moses... I think you answered before I edited... I'm wondering if the Illuminas are worth the extra cash for a comfortable streetcar that's going to see the dragstrip probally 3-4 times a year if I'm lucky. No autocross.
I have 14" rims that are for the street, which are on the car now... and I'm having a set of my beatup OEM 12A rims refinsihed to run slicks in the rear for the dragstrip. The 13" OEM's are 18 pounds lighter for EACH rim compared to my 14".

I haven't got into checking out springs yet, I do know this for sure... I don't want to have the car lowered at all.
I went with Racing Beat springs all around on my last 1st gen with the same 14" rims I'm currently running and I had rubbing issues.

The Racing Beat's lowered the car all around 1".
The tires I'm running now are exactly the same as when I had the RB springs, 205/55/14, which measure 22.5 in height.
The slicks I'm looking at for the 13" rims are the same height, 22.6.

i mean its a personal preferrence...i don't that you would really need the illuminas for the strip..track..i think would be a diff story..i can tell you the blues handle great...

Well first of all this picture is not the shock you will get. It is a generic picture they all use. As for buying tokico blues like everyone else has said they are the best replacement for the money. I have them on my gsl-se with eibach springs and it is great off and on road. I took off the illuminas that were on the car when I bought it to put these on.
I also say talk to Billy at respeed and get them from him. He has a lot to offer for our cars and well if it came down to 10-20 dollars I say pay the extra and get them from hime so he can keep making sweet parts for our cars!
