Safety piece?
At the front is only two bridge type affairs that snap down into the recepticles. The back looks much like a '80-85 version, only more narrow.
Could he be talking about the separate wind deflector? The '80-85 wind deflectors just sort of swing up. The '79 snaps into the same place as the roof does, and has a clamp to hold in place.
Those have nothing to do with the glass roof. But if he needs one, I can provide.

HOZZMAN, can you provide a glass roof for... cheap?
Hehehe, also, what position of the wind flaps do you tend to drive with? All the way up, 45 degrees or flat... 45 and 90 are loud as hell, and flat doesn't quite seem right... if they were flat then i'd take them off so i could see the blue skies when i drive without having to take my eyes of the road... know what i mean?

noo..hes talking about the metal pin (it slides in between a part on the car and a mount on the roof
in the centre....of the front...
it prevents the moonroof from being stolen when open
at least thats what mine used to have.....

45 degrees I believe is standard. At least, thats what you have when you clip it to the little metal nub for it.
As for cheap, I have three people after mine. So, definition of cheap is inflating.

thats the sunroof..the "o is the bracket in the centre..(there are 2 of these "o"s that the pin slides through
on the car there is an l shaped bracket...that gose under the pin....

the idea was that with the sunroof up..without the pin, its a simple flick the back latch, pull sunroof...walk away....with the pin...you cant pull the sunroof off except by removing the pin from the inside......
Hope this helps...ill see if i can get a pic or 2 of it..oi dont own the car anymore but i know who does.....and it had a glass moonroof
