Arrow Anyone ever seen these? Aluminum side moldings

As title states, anyone know anything about them?

Perhaps Stu, AKA "Mr knowledgeable on all things rare"???

As you can see they are taped on to show where they were located on the car I got them from.

And on my buddy's car:

New one to me Ian-
Agree maybe its a FB thing - but its so unusual, it smacks of being an aftermarket piece. Don't have all the info on FBs, but in the world-wide brochure samples that I have, they do NOT offer this from Mazda directly. Likewise no OEM SA indications either...

Thanks for bringing it to our collective attention!

And, from the looks of it, those are strictly aftermarket. I've never heard of 'em either, nor seen 'em. I'm betting someone had them custom made long ago.

I have seen them on a few cars, but don't know if they are stock or not. I will ask my friend, he has some on his car.

Looks like a dealer add on kinda thing ya know? Kinda like not being on the options list but can be ordered in a dealership catalogue and installed under warranty type of thing.

They have got to be aftermarket. The RX7 is not in the correct font and the dash is missing.

Ditto, they do look okay on the sa pictured though. Paint the inside of the ribs black (paint them black and wipe the black off the ridges while wet) and add a black pinstripe along the top body line.

I, too, have seen them on a few cars. Just figured it was a dealer option or something.

The door locks are not supposed to be black. Neither is the gasdoor lock. Stock = stainless.

(painted scratches too easily)

At first I thought the white looked good but now I also agree that the handle and some other misc things will be black and a few other items such as the mirrors will be yellow. It all needs repainted anyways so might as well wait to change it then.
