anyone drift there 7?

I am big into drifting with my seven. I got into it when I got my first car (my ex-police crownvic). I would slide that thing down the longest curves in the winter.

But snow drfting is easy. I am trying to learn to drift on dry pavement now with my seven. I have been doing pretty good at high speed (70+) long curve drifting but I am haveing trouble with lower speed( 40 to 60) tight curve drifting. Like on city streets. ( I do need a limited slip)

I am wondering if anyone else here drifts there rex. I would like to know how you have your suspesion setup and what kind of powertrain you have (HP, clutch type, posi type etc)

I got some pics of me drifting at high speed and I should have them up soon.

Yea I would like to know to. You see FC and FD drifters, but I n4 saw any FB drifters.

What are your experiances drifting a FB? Is it a good drift car? Or would you like to have a FC for drifting?

And what are your specs+set-up?

I have been drifting my GSL-SE for a long time. Too many mods to list. PM me and I'll see if I can get a list of most of it for you.

Mine drifted for a little while on an old dirt road, but it scared me because I wasn't prepared for it. However, in the rain, it drifts pretty well and it's also quite smooth; kind of like the one drift I did with my Jeep a while back.

Aico- My car is stock except for a custom exhaust system, fuel system and no pump/ratsnest and a electric fan. I have some really shitty
165/80/r13 carlton tires (never heard of them). that helps a little

I have drifted a FC and it is a better drift car but only because the steering is so much quicker and stock it has a lot more power.

If you have never drifted before do a search on the internet.

When I first started drifting I got some little donut spares and put them on the back and just slid around in a parking lot till I got used to the car sliding. Then as you get better, and get more power you can step up to bigger tires.

Smoothness of power is a key elemant so I am looking at a MSD setup as my next mod.

just look on the internet. There is a lot of info on drifting.
I found one site that had videos to go along with instructions.
I cant remember all the sites but I found them all at yahoo. They have a category for drifting.

I've drifted more than a few cars, the first gen lacks quick steering and torque which makes it tougher than other cars to control when sideways. 70mph drifting? If you're really drifting at that speed and with accuracy then you're a pro and don't need our advise. The fastest I've ever pulled off a decent slide on dry pavement would be about 40mph. And pansy power over when exiting and getting a little loose isn't really drifting. I'd suggest you find a nice secluded parking lot and set up some cones to practice, my favorite design has always been to line up two curves that are a little over the length of your car apart and try to go as crooked as possible through them without hitting any.
